About
The C40 CFF facilitates access to finance for climate change mitigation and resilience projects in urban areas by providing technical assistance to develop cities’ sustainability priorities into bankable investment proposals. The CFF aims to deliver project preparation, capacity development, and to widely share knowledge and establish partnerships between cities and financiers.

C40 CFF support is eligible to projects in C40 Cities in the global South, and to additional cities in countries where CFF is already operating. Below you can find a list of cities that are eligible for CFF support and additional countries where non-CFF cities would also be eligible.
Eligible Cities:
Addis Ababa, Accra, Nairobi, Lagos, Dakar, Freetown, Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Tshwane, Dar es Salaam, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Salvador, Santiago, Bogotá, Medellín, Quito, Lima, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Dhaka, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata New Delhi Amman Karachi, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Quezon City, Bangkok, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City
Additional eligible cities for specific projects in: Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, India, Philippines, Indonesia
Support
Approximately USD 1 million in technical assistance. Support will vary considerably depending on project needs.

- provide background information on the project
- outline the project’s level of preparation, including its technical readiness and cost
- delineate challenges that the project may face, if any
