About

The Climate Support Facility (CSF) is set up to provide demand-driven, short-term technical assistance and training on climate change to ACP regional organisations and countries.

Assistance Criteria

Priority areas for CSF interventions are defined by the three priority areas of intervention of the GCCA+ flagship initiative, namely: (i) mainstreaming climate change into poverty reduction and development efforts; (ii) increasing resilience to climate-related stresses and shocks; and (iii) supporting the formulation and implementation of concrete and integrated sector-based climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies. Eligible organisations include regional organisations, ministries and government agencies, and non-state actors such as cities/municipalities, universities, research institutions and civil society organisations in ACP countries. Eligible activities are those related to priority areas of intervention and programme objectives/expected results as described above. Short-term expertise will be available to support, for example, feasibility studies, project identification or formulation, determination of funding requirements, capacity building, training, workshops, curriculum development, and policy development.

Countries

Support

Up to EUR 100,000.

Application Process

Sending an e-mail to intra-acp-gccaplus@acp.int will trigger the opening of a service request, on the basis of which the Technical Assistance team will establish the eligibility of the request and if confirmed, support the timely preparation of a work order and the mobilisation of short-term expertise.
