About

The aim of the initiative is to promote a low-carbon and climate-resilient development at the city level in Latin America by:

  1. Raising awareness about climate issues among Latin-American local governments and strengthening their capacities in defining low-carbon and climate-resilient development paths;
  2. Reducing the barriers for the implementation of projects with climate co-benefits at urban level

Assistance Criteria

The project must be prioritized by the local authorities. The local authority must then designate a focal point to participate actively in the development of the study (sharing relevant information, following the development and reporting the results to promote the ownership to the project).
