About
The IMIF Technical Assistance Facility, managed by UNCDF, will provide urban investment opportunities with early-stage capital to assist with project development and preparation and policy and regulatory reform. It will focus largely on providing direct support to municipalities in developing countries.
Assistance Criteria
- The project or program has to be additive to and a priority of the municipality public portfolio.
- The project or program has to be financially responsible and not add unproductive debt to the municipal.
- The project will have to have been approved by the municipal council and part of the local development plan.
Support
IMIF TAF operates at two levels. First a project preparation and second at project investment through a private investment fund manager. Amounts and limits are still under design. IMIF TAF facility is currently in the pilot phase.
